They can detect periodontal (gum) disease in its earliest stages, even before you notice the symptoms.

6. The most frequent cause of tooth loss in adults is PERIODONTITIS. It is caused by the accumulation of bacteria under the gums and is characterized mainly by the destruction of the supportive tissu around one or several teeth.
7. Bad breath may be a sign of a dental problem. Poor oral hygiene, gingivitis or untreated cavities are all sources of halitosis.

  • Locate the tooth
  • If the tooth is dirty, rinse it in milk. Do not scrub it.
  • Gently put the tooth back into its socket and apply ice to the affected area
  • If it is impossible to reinsert the tooth into its socket, put the tooth in a glass of cold water or milk, or keep it in the mouth
  • See the dentist immediately
10. Thumb sucking or the use of pacifiers after the first permanent teeth have
appeared may affect the growth of the jaw and the position of the teeth.
